Clinical pharmacokinetics: Concepts and applications. By Malcolm Rowland and Thomas N. Lea & Febiger, 600 Washington Square, Philadelphia, Pa 19106. Clinical Pharmacokinetics: Concepts and Applications Since pharmacokinetics can greatly affect how different patients respond to the same drug, both students and physicians need a basic clinical. This book considers the basic principles of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. It also illustrates clinical pharmacokinetic applications, such as recirculatory models, common antimalarial drugs, and clinical pharmacokinetic principles in critically ill patients, which are essential for medical professionals. Pharmacokinetics describes the kinetic mechanisms of drug absorption, distribution, and elimination, bridging the gap between dosage and plasma concentration. This text, now in its second edition, is a detailed review of the entire field. Five sections are divided among absorption and disposition.

Description
Clinical Pharmacokinetics is the major review journal in the area of clinical pharmacokinetics, the study of drug disposition in the human body, which is an integral part of drug development and rational pharmacotherapy.
The Journal promotes the continuing development of clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, for the improvement of drug therapy and to further postgraduate education in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, by publishing critical and comprehensive review articles and clinically focussed original research articles.
Clinical Pharmacokinetics offers a range of additional enhanced features designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content. Each article is accompanied by a Key Points summary, giving a time-efficient overview of the content to a wide readership. Articles may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers in understanding important medical advances. The journal also provides the option to include various other types of enhanced features including slide sets, videos and animations. All enhanced features are peer reviewed to the same high standard as the article itself. Peer review is conducted using Editorial Manager®, supported by a database of international experts. This database is shared with other Adis journals.
