Your free download is a pirated copy of an Adobe font. It's also only only the Roman (Normal) weight, there's no bold, italic or bold italic.

For a legal source for all weights, MyFonts is pretty good.

So what's funny is, the 'regular' may not be regular, but they do have italic, plus bold, plus bold italic! I downloaded them all, and to me, they didn't look fake. So I personally thought it was real. But maybe you're right!

It's not a fake, it's a real Adobe font, but Adobe only gives away fonts with a software purchase. So this has been posted illegally.

Thanks Carmello, I too love the Helvetica Font & appreciate you sharing the link. Back in the 90's I had an HP Laser Printer (I cannot even remember all of the supporting software that came with it), but if offered a wealth of fonts & helvetica was my fave. Thanks again.
